Some shortcuts are similar Ctrl+P for file browsing and Ctrl+Shift+P for commands. It's from Microsoft, but it was free and open-source under MIT license agreement.Īfter installation at Ubuntu 18.04, looked for multi-cursor and it was exactly like Sublime Text. It was really great and I've never seen something similar in any code editor.īut recently I saw in a screen-cast from fantastic Jeffrey Way and he was using Visual Studio Code. I love its Vintage mode, default and custom shortcuts, package manager, auto-complete and Multi-Cursor. I've used predefined and my custom code snippets to increase speed. Yes, Sublime Text is a sublime code editor without no doubt. So I used Sublime Text as my first code editor. I was pretty fast in Delphi IDE and looking for something similar with such features. But I'm a developer and IDE is really a big deal of matter.
However I've used free and open source alternative for previous tools.

No longer worry about breaking copyrights and ownership rules in software realm. I got simply adapted with these new environments and actually I liked that. It was tough hard at starting days, like a new planet for me, but time is so strange. So I started to migrate from Microsoft Windows and Delphi (my favorite programming language) after 13 years experience to Ubuntu 14.04 and PHP-Laravel (now my favorite programming language).
